About Us
A little about Amcha
"AMCHA - The Israeli Center for Mental Health and Social Support for Holocaust Survivors and the Second Generation was established in 1987 by Holocaust survivors and mental health professionals to provide psychological, supportive, and social care to Holocaust survivors and their families.
Today, a unique response is given to the mental and social needs of about 20,000 Holocaust survivors and their families. A network of social-rehabilitative clubs operates in twelve AMCHA centers across the country. The professional team conducts over 50,000 home treatments in the homes of immobilized survivors and guides about nine hundred volunteers who reach out and provide a listening ear and warm embrace to survivors."
